How to apply fragrance
A light hand, a little patience and consideration for the space around you.
A good application routine is simple: check the product directions, start with less and give it time. There is no universal spray count because atomisers and fragrance strengths differ.
Choose where to apply
Use only on the areas permitted by the product directions. Avoid eyes, face, broken or irritated skin and sensitive areas. There is no need to walk through a cloud of spray or apply fragrance to your hair. Keep the atomiser away from your face and avoid breathing the mist.
A small beginning
Start with a light application, let it dry and allow the scent to develop before deciding whether you want more. Fragrance should feel comfortable to you and considerate to the people sharing your space. Follow any fragrance-free rules at work or other venues.
Be careful with clothing
Fabric can stain or discolour. Do not assume a fragrance is suitable for silk, leather, jewellery or other delicate materials. Check the product and fabric guidance first; applying to clothing is optional, not a requirement.
Pay attention to comfort
Do not spray near flames or heat, and keep the bottle away from children and pets. Stop using it if irritation develops. A small-area trial does not guarantee that a reaction cannot happen later. If fragrance is a known sensitivity, avoiding it may be the better choice.
