Yaarden · Policy
Returns & Exchanges
Effective 2 November 2026
Choose carefully. No voluntary change-of-mind returns, with your statutory rights preserved.
1. No voluntary change-of-mind returns
Yaarden does not offer voluntary returns, exchanges or refunds because you change your mind, prefer another scent or select the wrong size. After handover, sales are final to the extent permitted by law. Ask about a tester and confirm your selection before payment.
Full payment is required before receipt. This policy does not make every payment non-refundable in every circumstance.
2. Defective, unsafe or incorrect goods
Non-excludable rights remain. Where CPA section 56 applies, goods failing the section 55 standards may be returned within six months, without penalty and at the supplier’s risk and expense, for the consumer’s choice of repair, replacement or refund.
Raise incorrect items, leaking bottles or other genuine problems with Hanro. Opening a bottle to discover a defect does not automatically extinguish a statutory claim. Damage after supply and misuse are assessed on the facts.
3. Statutory cooling-off and cancellation
Qualifying direct-marketing transactions have a five-business-day CPA cooling-off period. Qualifying electronic transactions have a seven-day ECTA cooling-off right, subject to its scope and exclusions. Other statutory remedies may apply.
These rights depend on how an agreement was concluded; no online checkout is not, by itself, an exemption. No general hygiene or made-to-order label automatically waives your rights. See the CPA at https://www.gov.za/documents/consumer-protection-act and ECTA at https://www.gov.za/documents/electronic-communications-and-transactions-act.
4. Raising a problem
Speak to Hanro in person or use the private channel used for your purchase. Provide the purchase date, fragrance, size, available proof of purchase and a description. Photos can help if you are already communicating remotely. No public form is needed.
Keep the bottle and remaining contents reasonably available for inspection and agree return arrangements. Prompt notice helps resolve a concern but is not an extra deadline removing statutory rights. A qualifying refund is not limited to store credit; transport costs follow applicable law.
5. Before handover and unresolved complaints
Ask promptly if you need to cancel before receipt. Any cancellation charge must be lawful and reasonable where required. If Yaarden cannot supply an agreed purchase, a refund will be made where due.
Unresolved concerns may be taken to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, https://www.cgso.org.za/, or the National Consumer Commission, https://thencc.org.za/. Mandatory law prevails over any conflicting policy wording.
